Amy Smart, an American model and actress from the United States. Amy was born and raised in California in the USA. Her modelling career started in Italy. Her acting debut came in 1996, when she appeared in the TV film "Her Costly Affair'. It was a struggle to land an appearance as a character in Starship Troopers, despite having appeared in numerous movies. Her struggle was with transitioning between modeling and acting since models are not considered as good actors, and they're typically given small and insignificant parts. Amy never gave up. She exceeded her previous roles in the 70's' show and the movie Varsity Blues. The 2005 romantic comedy film "Just Friends" which starred Ryan Reynolds gave her her first lead role.
